Our Purpose

Dunbar Farms’ main goal is to improve the quality of health for Dunbar residents through easy access to healthy food and improving the built environment. Current goals include increasing neighborhood interaction with Dunbar Farms and providing opportunities for children to learn about urban agriculture.  Programs include sessions on environmental justice, climate change, backyard gardening and composting.  The farm site features raised garden beds so that people of all abilities can enjoy the experience of gardening.  Volunteer opportunities at the farm are available.
